Korea, in plain English.
Korea Plain (formerly The Korea Manual) is a practical, English-language guide to using everyday life in Korea.
Many Korea websites tell you where to go. This one explains what to do when you get there: which app to open, which button to look for, what information you need, what can go wrong, and what to try next.
The site is written from a local Korean perspective for visitors, newcomers, foreign residents, and families. It focuses on transport, digital services, daily errands, family logistics, and the customs that are rarely explained because they feel obvious to locals. Guides are organized into five sections: Travel & Transit, Food & Dining, Culture & Etiquette, Living in Korea, and K-Wave Context.
We check details against official or first-party sources whenever possible and show an updated date on guides that can change. If you find an outdated step or a regional exception, please send the article URL and the detail that needs review.
Korea Plain is independent and is not an official government service. Company and product names belong to their respective owners.
